Mr Socks is commonly known as Socks or Sockies around the farm and he is a feisty fella, with some really mean looks towards his alpaca buddies as if to say, ‘watch it, I’m not to be messed with’! Socks’ name came from the fact he has two bright white socks on his front feet. When it comes to hard feed with Socks, he’s incredibly greedy and cannot patiently wait for his feed, he has to dance around like a ballet dancer until he gets his bucket! Socks is very polite though and isn’t mean at all to his human handlers, he can look very cute when his ears are forward and enjoys his short walks out, but when with his buddies, he loves to play at being Mr Mean, hence his title!

Mr Sock’s enjoys trekking with someone who is up for it and confident, that can reassure him when things get a little scary! Although he is not the most affection alpaca, he’s not overly cuddly, but he will let you close for some strokes! And you have to be quick with the camera if you want some photos with him! He prefers adults or mature teenagers.
